Billionaire/Celebrity Health Hack: Glutathione

Glutathione is a primary detoxifier, critical to every cell in your body. It’s so important for anti-aging, and acts to reverse cellular damage from lifestyle, diet and environmental factors. As we age, our liver produces less Glutathione, leaving us vulnerable to free radicals. Fortunately, Glutathione can be taken supplementally, but was once only available to billionaires and celebrities through expensive, painful injections. Until now!

More Festive than My Red Mood-Changing Nail Polish

February 10, 2014. The day I fell in love. Senior year of college, I discovered the Weight Watchers cake when my best friend’s mom (I love you, Mrs. Klem!) made one for my friend’s 22nd birthday party.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with this delicious creation -- it consists of combining a box of cake mix with a diet soda of your choice. By forgoing the eggs and oil, you are creating a lower calorie cake, thus hitting less Weight Watchers points. Although I don’t follow WW, this cake has been a hit among friends and family, and has worked its way into many birthdays and celebrations. For the past six years I have been tweaking the recipe by using different beverages of choice, such as Henry’s Hard Sparkling Soda (desperate times - but also delicious) and on more festive occasions, champagne, because #adulting.

How can you actively tune into that feeling of abundance, fullness, ENOUGHness (it’s not a word, but you get it). The glorification of being busy is so overrated. For the Love of the Pumpkin

It is officially the first day of Fall and I am writing this from the Colectivo patio where I am enjoying my almond milk latte with a shot of pumpkin spice and the best pumpkin cranberry muffin in town. Autumn weekends in Chicago, need I say more?

I, similar to most, have an affinity for seasonal things – specifically anything in the realm of pumpkin spice.  As soon as LDW hits, I find myself trying to incorporate pumpkin into just about anything I do. Pumpkin coffee orders, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin Rx Bars, pumpkin candles, you name it, I am here for it.

Thankfully, I am blessed to have a sweet friend who shares my same affinity for pumpkin. So much so, in fact, that she has her own blog centered around all things pumpkin. Enter, Maggie Michalczyk, better known as @onceuponapumpkin. For those of you who are not familiar with Maggie, you’ve been missing out.

Cystic Acne Relief & Weekly Visits to AMH

A few months ago, I opened up regarding the struggles I have faced with my skin.  I told you that for the past year or so I have struggled with horribly painful cystic acne. Summertime Chi, Nostalgic Musings & The Best Collagen Cake Bites

Summertime Chicago, no place like it. Lucky for you all, I have chosen to narrow down the highlights of summertime in this beautiful city to a top three (four, if you include choosing to forget the previous 9ish months leading up to summer as a highlight - also, do we need to comment on how MySpace permanently ruined my life by leading me to believe that everything in my life needs to be ranked? We should probably further analyze this at a later point in time).

My top three is as follows:

What We Still Love | Collagen

I have a confession - one that I am no stranger to confessing.  I have commitment issues. I am really bad at committing to things - workout guides, eating plans, consistently meditating, workouts... the list goes on - I will frequently do something for a period of time and then, just as quickly and eagerly as I started, I stop.  My reason for stopping always differs - from getting bored (i.e. workout guides) to just being too busy (meditation).

How to Eat for Vibrant Skin

Skincare routines - we all have them. We all live by them (perhaps religiously). But do we really know if they're working? Beyond that, do we know what they are doing to our bodies under the surface? And lastly, are our routines all-encompassing - meaning, are we thinking about everything we're exposed to/consume and our skin is responding?
